Meet Joe. He was born in Mexico in a town called Vallehermoso, which means “beautiful valley”. According to Joe, the town was neither beautiful nor did it have valleys, so he jokingly refers to it as “the town of two lies”. Joe brings a friendly disposition and 20 years of experience in a wide range of transportation engineering, drainage and public works projects. He joins KSA as the director of the newly (re)developed Transportation Services group.

Just like the rest of us, Trevor Self has been inconvenienced by poor infrastructure design. Growing up, he and his family were regularly delayed in the same place, complete with a popular retail area, a hill and a blind spot. This perpetual inconvenience sparked Trevor’s interest in civil engineering. He liked the idea of making an impact in a community that would add convenience and last for 20+ years.
KSA’s Municipal Services Group is pleased to welcome Scott O’Brien to the team. Scott began his career working on the construction side of the industry before deciding to make a switch to the design side of the business. Scott became a civil engineering student at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and was certain he’d made the right decision after his first engineering class. The mix of creativity and problem-solving suited him nicely.

In this profession I can celebrate nature and make it a part of the built environment.” Being passionate about nature, Francois’ design philosophy is rooted in sustainability, which he studied extensively as a student at Harvard University.
